buoyancy mechanism

The buoyancy mechanism of the Model3 pulls water in to the chamber for the drone to sink and pushes it out for it to float. This allows the drone to move up and down in the cage (patented). It's energy efficient and extends the battery life to months of operation. It is strong to push against hundreds of kilos of pressure. It's rugged to to handle debris and marine growth and still ensure thousands of journeys to surface between maintenance. Robust magic.

Using old fashioned alkaline batteries instead of more modern lithium-ion batteries can look like a step backward. It makes the drone bigger, heavier and requires complex power management electronics. It also makes it safer to handle and store. It makes capable of being shipped anywhere without the regulations placed on lithium-ion transportation. Simple and practical.
