Max certified depth 50m (break point 75m)
The buoyancy mechanism of the Model3 pulls water in and out of the chamber for the drone to sink and to float. It allows the drone to move up and down in the cage (patented). It's energy efficient and extends the battery life to months of operation. It is soft so not to cause friction, but is strong enough to push against hundreds of kilos of pressure. It's rugged and can handle to be filled with debris and marine growth and still ensure thousands of journeys to surface before needing maintenance. Robust magic.
The simple
alkaline battery pack
Using traditional alkaline batteries instead of the more modern lithium-ion makes the drone bigger, heavier and requires complex power management. It also makes it safer and capable of being shipped anywhere without the regulations placed on lithium-ion transportation. Simple and practical.
Turbidity (particles in the water) is crucial for fish health but traditionally hard to measure without high maintenance or complex cleaning systems. Our unique sensor design overcomes this and adds color spectrum analysis to give stable insights into aquaculture.
Continuously improving from our original idea has made our latest generation of underwater drones better, more rugged, smarter, safer and easier to use.
